Indiana University’s basketball team passed its first real test of the season on Saturday, defeating South Carolina 78-71 in a hard-fought contest at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. With a retooled roster and high expectations, the Hoosiers faced a tough challenge against a gritty South Carolina squad, but they ultimately demonstrated their resilience and depth, pulling away late to secure the victory.
