The Tennessee Volunteers football program celebrated a successful National Signing Day, as head coach Josh Heupel and his staff welcomed a talented group of newcomers to the team. Heupel took time to discuss the Vols’ 2024 recruiting class, highlighting the strengths and versatility of the incoming group.

“We’re extremely excited about the class we’ve assembled,” Heupel said. “Our staff did an outstanding job of identifying and recruiting talented players who fit our program’s culture and values. We’re confident that this class will make a significant impact on our team’s success in the years to come.”

The Vols’ 2024 class features a mix of highly touted prospects and under-the-radar gems, with a focus on addressing key positional needs. Heupel emphasized the importance of building depth and competition across the roster, and he believes this class will help achieve that goal.

“One of the things we wanted to focus on in this class was building depth and competition at key positions,” Heupel explained. “We feel like we’ve accomplished that with this group. We’ve added talented players at wide receiver, defensive back, and along the defensive line, among other positions. These additions will help us build a more complete and competitive roster.”

One of the headliners of the Vols’ 2024 class is 4-star wide receiver Jeremiah Telander, a dynamic playmaker from Florida. Heupel praised Telander’s speed, agility, and ball skills, and he expects the newcomer to make an immediate impact in the Vols’ receiving corps.

“Jeremiah is a talented young man with a lot of upside,” Heupel said. “He’s got the speed and agility to separate from defenders, and he’s shown a knack for making big plays in traffic. We’re excited to see him develop and contribute to our offense.”

Another key addition to the Vols’ 2024 class is 4-star defensive back Kaleb Beasley, a physical and athletic cornerback from Georgia. Heupel praised Beasley’s length, speed, and competitiveness, and he believes the newcomer will be a valuable asset in the Vols’ secondary.

“Kaleb is a talented young man with a lot of potential,” Heupel said. “He’s got the length and speed to match up with top receivers, and he’s shown a willingness to be physical and compete for the ball. We’re excited to see him develop and contribute to our defense.”

In addition to Telander and Beasley, the Vols’ 2024 class features several other talented newcomers, including 4-star defensive lineman Tyree Weathersby, 3-star linebacker Jeremiah Banks, and 3-star running back Jalon Daniels. Heupel praised the entire class for its collective talent, work ethic, and dedication to excellence.

“We’re proud of the class we’ve assembled, and we’re excited to see these young men develop and contribute to our program,” Heupel said. “We believe this class has the potential to make a significant impact on our team’s success in the years to come.”

As the Vols look to build on their momentum from the 2023 season, Heupel is confident that the 2024 recruiting class will play a key role in the team’s future success.
