The Men of Mackey, Purdue University’s official alumni basketball team, have officially announced their return for the 2025 edition of The Basketball Tournament (TBT), reigniting excitement among Boilermaker fans nationwide. After strong showings in past tournaments, the squad is back and aiming for a deep run in the $1 million, winner-take-all event.
TBT, known for its high-stakes, single-elimination format, brings together elite players from around the world, including former college stars, overseas professionals, and ex-NBA players. For the Men of Mackey, it’s more than just basketball—it’s a chance to represent Purdue pride on a national stage.
“Every time we step on the floor, we’re playing for Purdue,” said team organizer and former Boilermaker standout Jon Octeus. “This is about reconnecting with fans, playing with purpose, and showcasing what our program stands for.”
