In a stunning twist on the recruiting trail, the University of Georgia has secured a major win, flipping a coveted five-star prospect who had long been committed to the University of Miami. The move marks both a significant recruiting failure for Miami and a statement of dominance for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs.

 

The player in question, widely considered one of the top recruits in the 2025 class, had pledged to Miami early in the cycle. For months, the Hurricanes believed they had locked in a future cornerstone. But Georgia, known for its relentless recruiting machine, never stopped pursuing the star.

 

The Bulldogs’ persistence paid off this week when the prospect announced he was decommitting from Miami and committing to Georgia, citing a stronger development pipeline and a clearer path to national titles.
