Texas three-Star Recruiting Target on Brink of Decision.

The Texas Longhorns could soon receive clarity in their pursuit of one of their priority three-star targets in the 2025 class. Wide receiver and return specialist Tyler Simmons, a dynamic playmaker out of Louisiana’s Destrehan High School, is reportedly nearing a final decision as his recruitment heats up entering the summer visit window.

 

Simmons, ranked as a top-100 receiver nationally and a top-30 prospect in Louisiana, has steadily risen on Texas’ board thanks to a strong junior season and a productive camp circuit this spring. The 6-foot, 180-pound wideout brings elite speed and reliable hands, making him an ideal fit for Steve Sarkisian’s offensive system that thrives on creating mismatches in space.

 

Texas extended an offer to Simmons earlier this year and has since been a consistent presence in his recruitment. Wide receivers coach Chris Jackson has taken a personal interest in the recruitment, making multiple visits and hosting Simmons on an unofficial visit to Austin in early June. According
