Four-star defensive lineman Jordan Kendall has officially set his commitment date, marking a crucial next step in one of the more hotly contested recruitments of the 2025 cycle. The 6-foot-4, 270-pound standout from Buford High School (Georgia) will announce his college decision on July 13th, he confirmed via social media on Friday evening.

Kendall, ranked as one of the top 20 defensive linemen in the country according to major recruiting services, has drawn serious attention from elite Power Five programs thanks to his explosive first step, relentless motor, and rare versatility on the line. Able to play both inside and out, Kendall has been a disruptive force at camps and during his junior season, tallying 58 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 9 sacks.

In recent weeks, Kendall has narrowed his list of suitors to five schools: Georgia, Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, and Texas. Each of the finalists has hosted him for visits, and all have made his recruitment a high priority. Georgia and Alabama are believed to be the frontrunners, with both SEC programs offering proximity, tradition, and a track record of NFL development at the position.

Kendall recently wrapped up official visits to Athens and Tuscaloosa, and both coaching staffs pulled out all the stops. Sources close to the situation indicate that his visit to Georgia “felt like home,” while Alabama’s emphasis on player development and championship culture also left a lasting impression.

Florida State, meanwhile, has been pushing hard, selling Kendall on being a program-defining piece in a surging defense. Michigan, the reigning Big Ten powerhouse, offered a strong academic and athletic pitch during his official visit to Ann Arbor. Texas
