Four-star WR commit to Michigan.

Michigan continues its impressive 2025 recruiting momentum with the addition of a dynamic playmaker, as four-star wide receiver Malik Anderson has officially committed to the Wolverines. The 6-foot, 180-pound pass-catcher out of Tampa, Florida, announced his decision via social media on Saturday afternoon, choosing Michigan over offers from Florida State, Miami, Penn State, and Oregon.

 

Anderson, ranked among the top 30 wide receivers in the nation by multiple recruiting services, brings elite speed, crisp route-running, and high-level ball skills to Ann Arbor. During his junior season at Jesuit High School, he totaled 1,212 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns, displaying a rare combination of explosiveness after the catch and reliability in contested situations.

 

“I believe in what Coach Moore is building,” Anderson said in his announcement. “Michigan felt like home. It’s not just about football—it’s about development, the culture, and preparing me for life after the game.”

 

New head coach Sherrone Moore continues to make waves on the recruiting trail, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. Anderson becomes the fifth four-star offensive skill position player in Michigan’s 2025 class and the third wide receiver, joining Jaylen Morgan and Tyler Rivers. With Anderson’s pledge, Michigan now has 15 commitments in the class, which ranks inside the top 10 nationally.

 

Receivers coach Ron Bellamy played a crucial role in Anderson’s recruitment, developing a strong relationship with the Florida standout over the past year. Sources indicate Bellamy’s consistent presence and vision for how Anderson would fit in Michigan’s offense was a key factor in the commitment.

 

“He sees me as a do-it-all guy—inside, outside, deep threat, short game,” Anderson said. “And I know I can make plays at The Big House.”
