Aaron Bradshaw, a former five-star recruit and McDonald’s All-American, has committed to the University of Memphis men’s basketball program, marking his third collegiate stop after previous stints at Kentucky and Ohio State. The 7-foot-1, 215-pound center from Rahway, New Jersey, announced his decision on April 23, 2025, aiming to revitalize his career under the guidance of head coach Penny Hardaway.

Bradshaw’s journey began at Kentucky during the 2023–24 season, where he averaged 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Despite high expectations, his freshman year was marred by injuries and limited playing time. Seeking a fresh start, he transferred to Ohio State for the 2024–25 season. There, he averaged 6.0 points and 2.7 rebounds over 22 appearances, starting in just five games. His role diminished as the season progressed, with fellow transfer Sean Stewart taking over the starting center position. citeturn0search0

As a high school prospect, Bradshaw was ranked among the top five players in the 2023 class, known for his mobility, shot-blocking ability, and shooting range extending to the three-point line. His commitment to Memphis presents an opportunity to harness his untapped potential and make a significant impact in the American Athletic Conference.

Under Coach Hardaway’s leadership, Memphis has become a hub for transfer talent, and Bradshaw’s addition bolsters the Tigers’ frontcourt depth. With two years of eligibility remaining, he aims to develop his skills further and contribute to Memphis’s pursuit of conference titles and NCAA Tournament success.

Bradshaw’s decision to join Memphis reflects his desire for a system that aligns with his strengths and offers a platform to showcase his abilities. As he embarks on this new chapter, both he and the Tigers are optimistic about the future and the potential for mutual success.
