Villanova head coach Kevin Willard has officially announced his full basketball coaching staff for the upcoming season, signaling a new chapter in the storied program’s legacy. After taking over the reins and setting a clear vision for the future of Wildcat basketball, Willard is surrounding himself with a blend of experienced veterans and energetic young minds to help guide Villanova back to national prominence.
The newly announced staff includes several familiar faces from Willard’s previous stops, along with some fresh additions with deep ties to recruiting, player development, and game strategy.
Leading the bench alongside Willard will be associate head coach Grant Billmeier, who previously served on Willard’s staff at Seton Hall and brings over a decade of coaching experience. Known for his player development skills and keen eye for frontcourt talent, Billmeier played a key role in developing multiple NBA-level big men and will take charge of Villanova’s post play and rebounding systems.
Joining Billmeier are assistant coaches Dwayne Morton and Jim Carr. Morton, a former Louisville standout and seasoned coach at both the high school and college level, will be responsible for wing development and helping guide Villanova’s recruiting efforts in the Northeast and Southeast. Carr, who also worked closely with Willard at Seton Hall and South Carolina, adds a wealth of experience in scouting and defensive game planning.
Rounding out the core staff is director of basketball operations Kevin Driscoll, who will handle day-to-day logistics, travel, scheduling, and serve as a key liaison between players, staff, and university administration. Driscoll has worked with several high-profile programs and brings a reputation for organizational excellence and player relations.
