The postseason begins now for Purdue Men’s Golf, as the Boilermakers are set to compete in the NCAA Auburn Regional starting Monday, with their eyes firmly set on advancing to the national championship.
Led by head coach Rob Bradley, Purdue enters the regional with momentum after a solid spring season that included multiple top-five team finishes and standout performances from key players. Now, with the stakes raised, the Boilermakers must finish among the top five teams in the 13-team field to punch their ticket to the NCAA Championships at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California.
The Auburn Regional, hosted at Auburn University Club, will present a challenging test with firm fairways, fast greens, and a field loaded with talent. Teams like Vanderbilt, Auburn, and Tennessee pose stiff competition, but Purdue is no stranger to rising to the occasion.
“We’ve played tough courses against strong competition all year,” Coach Bradley said. “This group is prepared, focused, and hungry to prove themselves on a national stage.”
Leading the way is senior standout Herman Sekne, who’s had a breakout year with multiple top-10 finishes and consistently low rounds. Alongside him, players like Andrew White and Frederik Kjettrup bring experience and poise that will be crucial in a high-pressure environment.
The format includes three rounds of stroke play from Monday through Wednesday. Every shot counts, and mental toughness will be just as important as shot-making.
For Purdue, this regional represents more than just another tournament — it’s a chance to solidify their status as a rising force in collegiate golf. A trip to the NCAA Championships would mark another significant step for a program that has been building steadily under Bradley’s leadership.
“We’ve talked all year about peaking at the right time,” Sekne said. “Now it’s time to put it all together.”
