Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich transfer could be facing another potential problem, with claims that his flight has been “cancelled”
Kane was authorized to go to Munich to complete his medical and sign a four-year contract after Bayern had their bid of £86.4 million accepted on Thursday.
It later became out that Spurs had revoked permission and were attempting to make last-minute revisions to the agreement after learning that information on Friday morning.
Kane had to return to a family home to wait for the green light while en route to Stansted Airport.
Full permission was seemingly then granted but the saga continues to rumble on. German outlet BILD, who have been across the deal, say that Kane was slated to take off at 7.45am UK time on a Cessna 560XL Citation XLS+, with the registration ‘D-CAWO’.
Oberpfaffenhofen airport, just outside of Munich, is the destination for the private jet. The newspaper claim Spurs delayed the flight until 12.15pm, meaning a landing time of 2pm.
However, a separate report from journalist Maximilian Koch of Abendzeitung states that there are no flights from London to Oberpfaffenhofen planned for the rest of the day.
And to make matters even more confusing, flight tracker FlightRadar24 shows the scheduled flight in question has actually been cancelled.
While there’s still optimism that Kane will become a Bayern player and take the No.9 shirt, the delay might just deny him the chance to immediately win a trophy with the Bavarians.
It’s unlikely he’ll be registered in time to play against RB Leipzig in the DFL Supercup on Saturday.
Kane, who is in the final year of his Spurs deal, will make more money at Bayern than he does at Spurs.

He posted a retouched photo of himself flying on Twitter with the comment, “Come on Harry, it’s time to go!”
